Biography
Sabrina Hogan is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and is extremely passionate about helping women and female teenagers who have gone through trauma and relationship struggles. Through her own life experiences, she knows what it is like to be a relationship trauma survivor and wants to pay it forward by helping other females who have gone through and/or are going through this as well. Despite Sabrina going through her own struggles, her resilience helped her push through to get through post-secondary schooling despite having a lack of support and being stripped of her self-esteem and confidence. Education-wise, she started by achieving her 4-year bachelor of arts majoring in psychology from the University of Manitoba and then pursued an after-degree in education specializing in early years from the University of Manitoba. She then decided that she wanted to further her education. While working full time as a school counsellor with students of all grades, Sabrina achieved her Master of Education specializing in counselling psychology from the University of Manitoba attaining a 4.10 GPA and thesis and completed a practicum working in a high school setting allowing her to meet the requirements to become a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. During her schooling, Sabrina had also volunteered with Klinic, helping those in crisis, and has worked with numerous clients who have gone through trauma and need guidance on how to get to a better place. She has a dedicated interest in helping those who have gone through trauma, and/or struggle with emotional regulation, and/or have experienced relationship hardships. Her therapeutic approach focuses on using a person-centered lens while also considering dialectical behavioural and/or trauma-based therapeutic approaches if it fits the situation. She is a certified DBT therapist and Trauma therapist. Sabrina welcomes all interested women and female teens who are looking for her support to connect with her.
